Private beta

Early, and on purpose.

Aetheris Desktop is being tested by a small group before it opens up. Invitations aren't open yet; this page explains what the beta is so you know what to expect.

What's in the beta

• Two scenes, Hana (daylight) and Reina (starlight), each with its own layout and look.
• Clock with calendar, and read-only Google Calendar and Tasks if you connect them.
• Weather for a city you choose.
• Music controls for whatever's playing in Windows, plus optional YouTube Music song search through a Chrome extension.
• Launcher, notes and Quiet view.
• Appearance controls: editorial, paper, mist or frosted glass, per widget and per scene.

What you'll need

• Windows 11.
• One monitor. Multiple monitors aren't supported yet.
• A still desktop wallpaper rather than a slideshow, so the widget backgrounds can match it.

It has been tested most at 2560 × 1440 with 150% scaling. Other sizes should work, but layouts may need a nudge in Arrange.

Good to know

• Portable, no installer. It runs from a folder and doesn't start with Windows unless you turn that on.
• Google connection during the beta. Until Google finishes reviewing the app, a connected account may need to reconnect about once a week, and Google will show a notice that the app is unverified.
• Your data stays local. See the privacy policy for exactly what is read, saved and sent.

How to join
